This latte (Adapted from Dr Mark Hyman MD) contains milk thistle tea, rich in antioxidants that support liver cell regeneration, reduce inflammation, and protect the liver from toxins. Almond butter and olive oil add healthy fats and vitamin E, which further support liver health.
It’s a warm, nourishing, caffeine-free drink that can be enjoyed any time of the day.
Ingredients
- 1 bag milk thistle tea
 - 6 fresh mint leaves
 - 1 ½ cups (about 360 ml) boiling filtered water
 - 1 tablespoon raw almond butter
 - ¼ teaspoon honey
 - ¼ teaspoon natural vanilla extract
 - ½ teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
 - ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
 - A sprinkle of ground cinnamon, for garnish
 
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil, then add the milk thistle tea bag and mint leaves. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bag and mint.
 - Pour the tea into a blender and add the almond butter, honey, vanilla, olive oil, and ginger. Blend for 1 minute until frothy and smooth.
 - Pour into a cup, sprinkle with cinnamon, and serve warm.
